I’m giving this book one more chance.  This issue again continues nothing.  The reason that I got into Echo was because of Strangers in ParadiseSiP was a book that once I started reading I could not put down.  Echo so far as been on and off for me.  One issue I’ll enjoy and then we get one like this month where a whole lot of nothing happens.

I really wanted to be in on the ground floor of this book, but I’ve almost given it 2 years to get moving, since it’s on a every other month release, and I don’t feel like the 3.50 price tag is paying off.  I’m glad that Terry Moore has been getting work at Marvel, but I really think that this book is suffering because of it.

Really there are about two things that happens in this book:

1.  Ivy does a off hand threat against Julie.

2.  Evil hobo Santa catches up with Julie and Dillon.

That’s it; there is nothing really to spoil for this book.  I’m sorry, but with the price of this book, the schedule, and the glacial pace Echo has been put high on the chopping block.

Please Terry Moore, give me faith that this book with be phenomenal, otherwise I’ll wait the 10 years for a pocket book and try it out then.  I can honestly say that his artwork is great.  That’s about the only good thing I can say for this issue.

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 4 - Very Good

Comments

  1. Granted the book is 3.50, but its small press and there’s no ads. I think no ads alone is worth the extra 50 cents.

  2.  I really like this book!

  3. I think I would like this book if it were a monthly and 2.99 OR if I read it in trades.  I may start getting this in trades or like I said wait till Pocketbooks are out.
