I’ll admit that Damian Wayne is the only reason I jumped on a few issues ago.  I was really excited to see the dynamic he brought to the team and to see someone the other Titans did not like be thrown in with them.   He is gone now and, while the Titans are probably happier to see Tim Drake, it does take some of the excitement away from the book.  They’re teenagers and there will always be drama, but I wish the New Robin era didn’t give way to the Red Robin era so quickly.  That said, it is well written and an exciting read which does keep the reader wanting more.  I really enjoy the ways these characters interact with one another and JT Krull has a good handle on their distinct voices.

While it is worth a look for story alone, the art is also a real standout for me.  Nicola Scott does a fine job with the penciling and I am continually impressed with her storytelling.  This is a great starting point for anyone that wants to begin reading the book and the creative team is really doing some good work.  If you’d been thinking about jumping onto the series, this is as good a time as any.
