This is one of the worst comics I have ever read in my entire life, and I started reading comics when Youngblood was new and popular. I don’t think the art was as bad as Liefeld but the story more than made up for it. It was all yelling and snarky comments instead of dialog. It started with a scene that picks up directly after the end of last issue, which is nice, except I completely forgot what happened last issue and didn’t remember until about 5 pages in. I honestly didn’t think that this book could get worse in the modern age of comics. McKeever did an absolutely atrocious job of making me care for any of these characters, but, even at its worst, at least it still had the feel of a book written in the last 5 years or so. This felt like it was an issue of Extreme Justice where yelling and weird abominations to science were villains and anything unique was burned away and the ground left behind was covered in salt. The back up story was bad, but much more tolerable this time around. I don’t care about Ravager’s Northern Exposure adventure but compared to the primary story, it’s watchmen. I’m going to go see if my comic shop will take this back. If they don’t, I’ll just set it on fire and where a mask while I do, so none of the evil gets in. I know this weekend is halloween, but making me believe that god has forsaken us is going a little too far.

This comic is awful. Don’t read it. Don’t pick it up. Just don’t.
