Teen Titans #15 is the title’s big debut into the Death of the Family crossover between all the Bat books and it’s somewhat of a mixed bag. While I am a big fan of certain members of the Teen Titans (Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Red Robin), I haven’t been a fan of Lobdell’s characterizations of them; so much so that I haven’t picked up an issue since #1. That being said though, the writing in this issue was better than the last time I read an issue, there we’re some genuinely funny moments but Lobdell’s use of repetition and the way he writes the Joker as an almost omnipotent being goes from being clunky to being okay at best. Booth’s pencils are definitely the draw for me in this book. His expressions and layouts are definitely on point, particularly during the Kid Flash scenes, but some panels are a bit too loose for my taste. Ultimately, the art pushes this ok story into a solid issue, but as of yet, I still have no plans to pick this title up after the Death of the Family is over.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 4 - Very Good
