Love me some well written Superman.  Lately we’ve been getting a lot of Regularman, as the story has been setting up the conflict between the factions on New Krypton and getting away from the Earth bound stuff.

Adam Strange and Supes spend the issue doing sleuth work, why is Adam Strange supposed to be good at this and why does he keep his facemask down all the time, can’t be comfortable.  The book finishes were I wish we would have been a few issues ago with the bad guys finally trying to openly zap (with ray guns of course) Superman and Adam Strange.  From all appearances it looks like next issue will be a nice finalle and we’re going to get the goods and have Superman back and hopefully a bad guy Zod.

The art I really am not sure if I like or not.  With two names down as artists it makes me think it was rushed and the art itself backs that up.  Lots of close-ups of heads, which makes me think they didnt have the time to get a whole panel out.  The Zod head about half way through I like though , weird but I like it.

Last thought, its never quite covered in this series but does Superman ever fly home for the night?  Maybe pop in for a quick dinner and see how things are going?

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 2 - Average
