There are too many things to say about this issue.  I've got to say I was skeptical that Robinson and Gates could wrap up all the lose threads going back to when Johns began writing the book after Infinite Crisis in this one issue, but they did it.

Zod vs. Superman. Supergirl vs. Ursa. Non wiping out the Justice League. Guardian vs. Codename: Assasin. Steel vs. Atlas.  Everyone who needed to end up in the Phantom Zone did.  General Lane's storyline came to an end.  This has really been the best run on Superman since John Byrne.

And speaking of Byrne's run, the climax of the story had Superman faced with sending Zod to the phantom zone while he's threatening to escape.  But unlike 20 years ago when faced with this same dilemma, Superman chose to sacrifice himself and become Zod's warden rather than executing him.  To me, that rings a little more true for the Superman I know and love.

I found the scene between Mon-El and Chris at the end very emotionally satisfying.  They may be stuck in the phantom zone, but at least they have each other.  Superman's "brother" and his "son," which I guess makes Mon-El Chris's "uncle."

This issue is the best kind of wrap-up, where everything has a satisfying conclusion, but there are enough intriguing threads that could be revisited if someone chose to (Billi being pregnant, the possibility of Kryptonians still out there, etc.).  I'm looking forward to the epilogue in next month's Superman 700.
