Continuing from last issue we have Grundy, Man-Bat, Bizzaro and the Frankensteins. In this issue they fight, at least most of them fight. BL-Grundy, Bizarro and Mr & Mrs Frankenstein go at it, while Man-Bat spends the issue holding a vial.
The story telling is very disjointed with the Man-Bat stuff feeling like it was not really a part of the story. I got to the end and felt like I missed something looking for how the stories interact other than being on the same street corner. The ultimate goocher though is the way the book ends, taking everything back to the beginning of last issue as if it never happened.
Scott Kolins is one of my favorite pencilers and I will buy pretty much anything he draws, but so far he's been credited as solo writer on two stories (the Gundy mini and this) and they both have been pretty bad. Maybe its the characters he's picked to make his own and not so much him, but other than the Frankensteins I like all the characters who appear here. So when does Blackest Night Flash come out next???
