Alright!! Batman is really kicking ass in whatever # Earth Superman Batman takes place on (he is currently in some silly omega oil thing in the usual series Earth). He just all over the place busting bad guys and freeing slaves. He wasn't even playing around with Catwoman who used to be his piece. I can see how getting switched with Superman's powers must have made for a really fun time in the beginning of this arc, but now that shit is going right to his motherfucking head!!! Hmmmm... I bet that was probably Silver Banshee's very idea from the beginning...
You might remember that Superman got shot, while not having his bullet proof superpower happening at the time, at the very end of Superman Batman #54 (they call that a cliffhanger just in case you've been under a rock for the last 30 years, or just smoking too much of it). The Justice League grabs him up and takes Clark Kent up to their little home base in space to patch him up. He'll be okay, don't worry.
Nightwing on the other hand, he's not going to be feeling up to par for a while. It just so happens that he wanted to interfere with Batman's regular use of extreme superpowering and just happened to end up with a few teeth missing. I think Bruce Wayne might actually be mad at himself for that one, if and when he returns the mighty superpowers back to their rightful owner, Superman of course. We won't see that happen until this story arc's conclusion sometime next month.
This story arc has been a real roll in the hay, I'm loving it. I'm usually not a super big fan of the Superman Batman title, but it sure seems like one of the creators must have currently been prescribed to some new and better brain medicine! Either that or they just switched the last story writer with somebody who could actually write stuff that is fun and interesting!! The art is absolutely beautiful also. This book had the best artwork out of every single comic book in my stack this week, shit, probably the whole month actually!! I would sell my left arm to be able to draw that well with my right!! And no left hand, you know what the means!!!
I can't wait to see how this one is going to wrap up next month. This is, was, and probably always will be the best arc I have ever read in the Superman Batman title this year! Just go to you LCS and drop the $2.99 (plus tax) on the darn counter already. You'll be glad you did...
