Wow, a story about how despite being extremely powerful, Superman can’t save everyone. It’d  be exciting if I hadn’t read it a hundred times before. At least, he didn’t cry this time.

  1. Agreed. Was all pumped up for this one. Loved Batman #700, but this was so underwhelming.

    The "out of touch" theme has more potential; I hope JMS’s initial arc deals well with that – let’s hope this transitional hiccup was not a long-term indicator.
