Here’s my big problem right now with the Superman books:

I don’t think James Robinson has Clark’s voice down.

It really irks me, because one of Robinson’s strengths as a writer is the fact that all of his characters DO have distinct voices. His choices on Mon-El are excellent… but Kal. Oh man. I find myself rewriting Supes’ lines in my head.

I mean he has Krypto’s voice down pat… but what is his choice on Kal? Drives me nuts and drives me out of the story every time. So I’m looking forward to a Clark free Superman for the duration, and am quite glad that Rucka (who I think has Clark’s voice down, if not quite as good as Geoff Johns’) is his partner on New Krypton.

Loving the overarching plot. Love Guedes.
