Continuing in the Last Stand of New Krypton storyline, this issue not only continues where the story previously left off, but it has some nice moments, too.
We see Allura conflicting with Superboy. We see a nice moment with Kara and Mon-El, we get more of our crazy Starman, and we even open up with random Kryptonians who show us the effect having super hearing has during times of war.
Sterling Gates has had to fit a lot of what’s going on in the Super-books during his run. Yet, when he writes it, it never feels forced. He blends what’s going on in the other books along with the Supergirl story HE wants to tell and it’s seemless. Another nod should go to Jamal Igle who’s pencils are crisp, clean and always dynamic. He reminds me of a forgotten age of comic artists who could draw heroes who were realistic and exciting to see all at once.
