I hope they keep this Sterling Gates fellow on Supergirl for as long as I hope they keep Grant Morrison on Batman & Robin: A LONG DAMN TIME
I thought the Superwoman arc was likely to be a one hit wonder but Supergirl is staying truly consistent. The art was better for the previous arc but Gates is still keeping things interesting. There were even a few things I found briefly thought provoking. Supergirl lives no easy life.
I totally love this bad girl attitude towards Flamebird I previously mentioned in my review of ACTION Comics last week, ACTION really lives up to its name these days. There was one part in Supergirl #45 where Supergirl threatens to knock Flamebird's teeth out. She just sat down and started petting the cat though. I thought that was funny but it would've been better if she really got up and punched the church girl brunette right in her face. Supergirl is a bad little blond these days and I love it. They should write her with this level of aggression more frequently. After all, her father was recently murdered.
Supergirl and Reactron are finally about to bump heads and I will definitely be there. All the New Krypton books are still worth reading especially Supergirl. I feel like I get my three dollars worth every damn time with this title.
