I wanted to dislike this book. Not sure why considering that Millar was my favorite writer in comics for a period and Yu was my favorite artist at some point. My tastes have changed, and I got tired with all the delays from Millar. Add that to the weaker scripts, Nemesis and Superior, he had been producing since ending the original Kick Ass and I was really ready to jump ship. However, I had a light week, so I took a chance.

This book has a lot of things that I love about Millar. Super Crooks has that same style from Wanted and Superman Red Son where you know people are bad guys but you like them and you want to root for them. Now that Millar is running in his own back yard, he is allowed to crank out the big ideas and truth be told, they are usually pretty fun. This book was a reminder of most the reasons I liked Millar in the first place. However, this also is full of the reasons why people do not like to read his books anymore. It is light on dialogue, but almost a little too much.

Now to the art. Yu has a style. I loved it for awhile. I just got tired of it. I got tired of looking at it on this book. I just stopped getting it and not seeing him help tell the story.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 3 - Good
