Bizarro World stories can be difficult to write. It’s just the nature of reversing the dialog, the actions, and the motivations, while creating a story which still makes sense.  So its just so wonderful to say that DC’s Super Friends #18 skillfully pulls off this difficult task. Sholly Fisch (writer) comes up with an extremely funny comic, embracing the joke which is the Bizarro Super Friends, yet manages to have them actually save the day against one tough villain.

My daughter and I were howling with laughter at this comic. We couldn’t stop talking about our favorite lines, situations, and characters. Bizarro Aquaman is probably my favorite character, with this floaty ring around his waist, and his oh so direct means of communicating with the fish. (“Hey, Dopey Fish! You gonna get wet down there! Come out here where it am dry!”)

Bizarro stories can be very hard to pull off, and Fisch and Bone did it.
