It’s hard to pick apart Super Dinosaur because I find the things I did not like being easily countered by the “but you’ll accept this…?” argument. For example: I wasn’t a fan of how some kid could both be a super genius and very athletic…to the point where he could battle dinosaurs. How does a kid find time to study and train athletically? The argument here is: I can not accept a multi-tasking super kid, but I can accept talking, fighting and semi-mechanical dinosaurs. Seems like I am unreasonably picking and choosing what I liked.

So far Super Dinosaur #1 doesn’t do it for me. I wish Kirkman would have just rebooted a comic book series for the old cartoon, Dinosausers. Also, that comic should come with a recording of it’s sweet theme song, which would play when you open the front cover…like those annoying greeting cards.
