I’m not an enormous Star Wars fan — I’ve seen the movies, and I really like them, and that’s about as far as it goes.

So I’ve been picking this book up off the shelf each time it comes out mostly because I like Brian Wood’s writing, but after this issue… it’s got me.

I’m in!

I don’t know if it was D’Anda’s awesome double page spread of the second Death Star, Wood’s continued build-up of Middle-Management Darth Vader, or the way he’s making this world feel lived-in in a way I never really got from the movies, but I’m really digging this story and it’s execution.

So even though I don’t quite believe it myself, I’m buying and enjoying a Star Wars book. Do you think my shop owner is Jedi mind-tricking me?
