If you loved the Maleev art on the previous two issues this is more of the same. Moody, dark, scratchy, with crazy painted colors but strongly realistic feel at the same time. Beautiful layouts. A real treat for the eye, right down to the light trails coming off the tail lights of the flying car.
If you are looking for a lot of story advancement, you will be disappointed. Hopefully if yo are regular reader of Bendis you know by now that middle issues tend to slow down and take a breath before finally moving on to the finish. There is some fantastic dialogue between Spider-woman and Madame Hydra, which is good, because except for the helicopter chase that is all this issue really has in it. Spider-woman does try and use her powers once, too, but no costume yet. If you can handle a great character story being unraveled at a leisurely pace with amazing art, then jump on board. If that frustrates you, I would wait for the trade, as the art alone makes it worth it.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent
This was a really fun read. Felt the same way as you did. Good review.
Both the writing and the art have a noirish tone. I like that. I am a little tired of skrulls, though. I hope Bendis has a variety of enemies and adventures planned for Spider-Woman.
