I’ve been reading spawn since issue one. Even when I left comics in the 90s because of the clone saga spawn was the one book I kept my eye. Now most spawn readers know how great szymon kudranski art is. Its such a dark gothic blend that its has realy turned my love for the book around. I miss all Simmons. Also last month the guys comment on todds homage covers I say keep em coming. Kudranski has done some DC work. On penguin pride and prejudice and back Ups on detective. He’s the real star in my opinion. Kinda wish more people saw his art. Story wise its a spawn story. Jim downing been spawn since 188 . So if you don’t like spawn its not for you. But your missing a artist who i.feel time will come.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. Thanks for the review. Kudranski’s art fits the book really well, and keeps the mood. I particularly liked the 2 pages of Wynn lighting his cigarette and Spawn drops down. The way the dialogue worked with the art, it was great. I know a lot of fans miss Al, but to me, this story is still about Al,but we’re just learning about his past through Jim Downing. I like his story too as it unfolds. It’s tragic and ironic, and I can’t wait to hear more about his dealings in Heaven.
