I think I am done with this series. It's not that bad, it may really be good when it is collected into a trade. I am just too much of a GI Joe fanboy I guess to just "enjoy the ride". I have expectations, hopes and dreams that are not being met by the cobra civil war. The strongest part about the cobra civil war is the cobra villians. Like Dr. Vargas. Chuck Dixon has done a marvelous job of making him feel really inventive and evil. However the story itself and his portrayal of the GI Joe team is terrible. Helix was a very cool new character a couple of years ago. She was different, her brain didn't work like normal people. In this issue she is generic, plain and used purely as exposition. Snake-Eyes is the last person on the planet who needed a sidekick. It just doesn't read well. The schedule is out of whack, the story is falling apart and I don't like the characterizations.... I guess the writing is on the wall for me.
