This read incredibly quickly, but was definitely the best this book has
been in a while. I think I figured out what made me dislike most of
this series up until now. Pak writes a great Hulk, regardless of where
he sets him, but that doesn’t mean where he sets him will make for
great stories. Put another way, it might be interesting to see
Spiderman fight in St. Louis for a story arc, but that doesn’t mean it
would be interesting to read about super heroes in St Louis. I like how
Pak wrote the Hulk blocking out the time on Sakaar. It read, to me at
least, like he was dealing with traumatic experiences, so he was
pushing it down and burying it. It seems kind of trite when you take it
out of context, but everyone working together to put the nuclear
facility out of danger fit the story very well. I’m not too excited
about the new writer, who I don’t know the name of, but it looks like
they’ll be taking back into space. Not that Marvel hasn’t been making
good space stuff, but Skar has been so rarely good and completely
changing everything after it’s good of the one issue of the series I
like doesn’t mean fill me with hope.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 3 - Good
