About the only thing I didn’t like about this was the ending, and even that could be salvaged depending on what direction the story takes from this point on. This book is moody as all heck and every page is pretty captivating to look at – with dark syrupy pitch perfect noir/thriller art. What we get here is a pretty WTF kind of story. A homicide detective investigating a series of ostensibly open and shut murder cases, that are only complicated by the fact that in each instance the conclusive evidence points to suspects who died long before the crimes could actually have been committed.

There’s a twist at the end that nudges the story further into a David Lynch sort of direction that could either be very awesome or very lame. Only time will tell.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
