I've been reading this series since it was first mentioned on iFanboy. While the first four issues were nothing short of spectacular, this latest left me feeling a little frustrated upon first read. I found the scalping sequence a bit jarring. I took a look back and, for the most part, the horror in each of the previous issues play out in our largely in our minds. This is the most visceral depiction of Fisher's behavior so far, and he makes little secret of it to Jack. Upon reflection, this makes sense being that it's the first time that Jack bares witness to such a brutal act, giving us a closer reaction to what he'd feel. I'm bracing myself for the next installment of this creepy, yet compelling tale.
