Oh, shit.

This has been a wonderful exercise in building tension, and this issue … well, tense is an understatement. We’re still waiting for the other arm to drop, so to speak. But we’re starting to get into some Jigsaw territory with this old man, and I’m riveted. To quote Ackbar: It’s a trap!

If I have one criticism, it’s that Scott Snyder is really good at mature dialogue, but doesn’t have me convinced that these words are coming out of kids. They’re a bit too worldly. It would make sense that the girl (who’s been hoboing for a while) would speak like this, but why is Jack? He (almost literally) just fell off the turnip truck.

In other news, Attila Futaki continues to be amazing. I could watch him draw creepy old buildings from a low vantage point all day. I’ve also never had to compliment an artist for how well they draw duck carcasses, but … well, damn.
