This comic is a steaming pile of suck (have you ever been sucked and seen steam coming up?  terrifying).  Patric Reynold’s does a great job drawing ships, planets, and other outer space parephenalia, but his human anatomy leads a lot to be desired.  In particular, his faces are really sketchy and clash a bit with his clean set pieces.

As for Patton Oswald?  Well, Wash’s remembrance issue was no Fallen Sun, but it also wasn’t Fallen Son.  The only panel in this comic that had any resonance was the last one, and I suspect that’s a Whedon plot point.
