Because I’m not reading all the Spider-titles I can’t say with any certainty that this is the best of them being put out right now. I can say that this book has been an absolute blast to read. Stegman’s art is fantastic. The first page after the credits is my favorite action panel of the week, so far. And Yost’s storytelling makes me wish he would do an ASM arc or two. In the nicewhile, I’m quite content with this little side story and its use of Belladonna which may be the finest (and maybe only) non-Gambit related story I’ve seen her in.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. I have never been a big Spider-Man fan, and I really don’t like Dan Slott’s writing style. But I have really enjoyed the Spider-Man spin-offs, or brand extensions of Scarlet Spider and Venom.

    • I haven’t picked up Venom in this current incarnation. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation.

  2. I too don’t really like Dan Slott’s writing, really not sure why but it’s not for me
