As usual, Erik Larsen keeps us all guessing.  It’s not that this issue had any other drastic surprises, but the story took some interesting turns.  While many believe that Malcolm will take over the book, Larsen lays some seeds to show that it might not be the case.  There’s interesting developments with long gestating plot lines, and Larsen seems to be bringing the book back to the center after having it veer off in excellent and drastic directions.  This is a perfect jumping on point for new readers as everything is explained enough to keep you invested, but not enough to bog you down in text. This book continues to be one of my favorite Image books, and I can’t wait to see where he decides to take the storyline next.
