ROGER LANGRIDGE SNARKED #0

Review by: Neb
By Roger Langridge

Size: pages
Price: 1.00

Even though I’ve only read one of Robert Langridge’s books (the most excellent The Mighty Thor), I’ve become a pretty big fan.  I was excited to see this “preview” issue of his new series through Kaboom that launches this October.  I found this series to be delightful.  It’s a lighthearted affair with two bumbling malcontents who find themselves in a precarious position.  The humor stems from both the actions and dialogue of the characters to more prominent sight gags and word plays.  Langridge provides the art for this series as well, and he displays some great cartooning in the short story.  The characters are simply yet very expressive and each has their own distinct look that shows their personality.  The coloring is excellent in the book as well as the visual simply pop off the page.  Even though this issue only contains a few pages of story, the rest of the material contained within is quite meaty and is a lot of fun to sift through.  There are pages for the tikes, like mazes and puzzles, and pages for the adults, which include reprints of Lewis Carrol stories with Langridge providing illustrations.  For only a buck, this is one deal you shouldn’t pass up.  This series will delight fans both young and old, and I, for one, can’t wait to see it in October.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent
