I’ve been waiting months for this book to come out. I don’t feel like this book disappointed in any way.

It had everything a Robocop movie should; Politics, OCP being greedy, Detroit being a shit hole, tons of swearing, lots of violence, really the list could go on. Even the book reintroduces Robocop the only way he should be, in a car chase that ends in a whole bunch of blood. Don’t worry there are no flame thrower attachments nor is there a jet pack. In fact there is a joke made about how Robocop’s ass maybe a little heavy for flight.

The funny thing about this story is that once again the cops of Old Detroit are pushed out for a better “breed” being ED-209s. All of the characters reacted appropriately during this outrage showing that Rob Williams seems to have a handle on things. He also did a great job with the news casters and ridiculous products that can only exist in a future run by OCP.

The art team on this book was pretty good, not great, good. I will say they did a better job than what I expected a Robocop book would get. Which is why I’m willing to give them two thumbs up.

The twist at the end will be something that really changes Robocop as a character. An inner struggle that the character has had was lifted at the end of the issue. I’m curious how they plan to play it out.
