This definitely feels like a filler issue.

This month Mitch is in Metropolis, and in a way he’s doing what he did last month: play the part of a hero a la that city’s big gun. Here, of course, that means Superman, and though the Last Son of Krypton does not make an appearance (though one of Clark Kent’s Planet articles frames the story) Mitch finds himself doing the kind of stuff that seems sort of Superman-like, bringing down super-criminals and rescuing people from a burning building.

And it’s fine as far as it goes, but it just doesn’t progress the story really in any fashion. It sort of pretends to, or attempts to, but none of the maybe-progress pays off in any way. And the villain is…kinda irritating, really. Where are the Body Doubles when you need them?

The most telling thing about this issue is that, after this whole ordeal, Mitch decides he needs to go figure out who he was before he lost his memory. Really, Mitch, what was your first clue?

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 4 - Very Good
