Why aren’t you reading this?! Although the fourth issue, it feels like Abnett and Lanning bringing threads from the previous 3 issues together to culminate in something very exciting next month. Add that to fantastic art by Fernando Dagnino who is quickly becoming my favorite artist and you have a comic that manages to be fun and intriguing. If only more people would try it…

  1. See, while I’ve never read anything Resurection Man, I find the concept to be uber cool and uber stupid at the same time.

Yes, having the character die and resurect with a whole new set of powers is novel, it gets kinda boring quickly in my mind as you know that he’s gonna die from time to time and get new powers just to try and refresh the series.

I think I would be more interested in reading this as a closed series than an on-going series…

I might give it a look once its out in trade, but for now, it doesn’t really seem interesting at all, sadly… 🙁

    • The powers aren’t really a central focus of the story. More of a side-effect, I guess, of his peculiar nature, which was the real meat of the old series; Mitch trying to figure out the mystery of who he really is. You really should check it out if you ever get a chance, as its very character driven (the first half, at least. The second half gets kinda trippy). And even though it doesn’t wrap up every mystery presented due to being cancelled, it did offer Mitch some semblance of finality without resorting to killing him off or throwing him into an alternate dimension or whatever.

  2. Interesting, I’ll give it a try eventually then, my LCS specializes in trade paperbacks, so chances are I might get my hands on them for a decent price! 😉

  3. I was a fan of the original go-around, so this book had some high expectations to live up to. And it meets ’em!
