The pacing of this comic is a crawl. But it’s not the agonizingly slow crawl of a drunk toddler making its way to the front door. This is a graceful, deliberate crawl that you can’t turn away from.

It’s odd that a story that crams a lot of story in while seeming like not much is happening. Hogan is just gifted. And Parkhouse’s art is a perfect fit for it.

While Image is cranking out fifty new #1s a month, and seeing what succeeds (and there are some fantastic Image #1s), Dark Horse seems to quietly be churning out some of the best limited series I’ve read in years. I’m definitely picking up the trade for this when it comes out.
