I got to admit, I bought this book solely on cover alone. However, it was what I expected. A fun goofy adventure story, that brings to mind old western Tall Tales, such as Pecos Bill. We have our hero Reed Gunther, his steed (in this case a Bear), a larger then life situation, with a solution of wits and gun play.

There where some panel layout that where a bit off, but nothing that harms the book too much.

Very much a book I will be picking again and again. After all, not all Western can be grim and gritty stories like Jonah Hex. Some times you just need a Root ‘en Toot ‘en adventure, and that is what you get with Reed Gunther.
