Red Robin continues to be, for me, the Batman book you read when you’re not that into Batman. I’ve always had these on my pull list. In the past it was Nightwing- now its this book. Sometimes you need a book which touches on the idea of Batman but doesn’t have the baggage that comes with Bruce Wayne.
This issue is starting to show what we always suspected about Tim Wayne and that is that he’s a junior Bruce in a way Damien or Dick could ever be.
As part of Batman Inc Bruce is having sexy overseas adventures, and so is Tim but he still takes the time to ask himself why he’s doing things and where his relationships are going- and this is why I’m going to continue to read.
The art is amazing. Marcus To has a handle on Tim that just fits the book so well. All to often artists draw young heroes as small adults, not To his Tim in and out of costume is noticeably a teenager. I do have to say the tweeks to the costume esp the cowl and the wings are great- without them it could so easily be Batman light.
With great writing by Nicieza and fantastic art by To this is the must read book of Batman inc.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
