Because I’m fucking bored I decided to count the number of “ASS SHOTS” that artist Ed Benes has rendered so far in the Red Lantern comic.
ISSUE 1:
PAGE 10, PANEL 4 = Ass shot of Blezz (she almost seems to be grabbing her ass as well in the shot)
PAGE 11, PANEL 1 = Ass shot of Blezz as she walks away from Atrocitus laughing.
PAGE 21, PANEL 2 = Half Ass Shot of Blezz
PAGE 21, PANEL 5 = Technically not really an Ass Shot but her ass is pretty prominent in this shot, so I’m making an executive decision and calling it an Ass Shot!

To me I think it’s a lot weirder to pay ridiculous amounts of attention to ass shots out of some misguided nobility, social justice bullshit, or whatever, then to pay attention to them because you like asses.
But what do I know, I come from a strange dimension where some guys like looking at the female form and don’t feel guilty about it.
Nobility? Social justice? Naa man, like I said, I was fucking bored.
Strange butt I have no problem with ass shots of Bleez, I would like to see more however; her boyfriend Atrocitus probably would get pissed!! Ha!!

Wait until they introduce more female Red Lanterns, then you’ll get group ass shots! (Some might be lungs or brains, remember that aliens aren’t always anatomically symetrical to human beings…)
KillTheG1mp- That is a pretty damn good point, how do we know that is an ass from where she comes from?? Well I guess it would be since she obviously has the same similar makeup as human. Has legs and arms and they all connect in the same area and bend in the same area as well. I am hoping that is her ass and not her lung……good one… HA!

The funny part about this review is he’s complaining about the gratuitous ass shots the artist uses in each issue, and then rates the art 3/5 and the writing 1/5. Funny.
Ghostmann should make video reviews of these critiques, it would be priceless I think! 🙂
