R.E.B.E.L.S. continues to be a fun book full of twists and turns. I started picking up R.E.B.E.L.S. ever since the Blackest Night issue and it has rather consistently been pick of the week for me since then.
R.E.B.E.L.S. balances high continuity with great action in a way that you never feel that you’re missing information, and even if you do feel that its filled with Encyclopaedia Galactica and Newsnode captions that bring you right up to speed the way the old editors notes used to.
This issue was also great because it had a character I didn’t realise I hadn’t seen in awhile: John Stewert. JOhn and Adam Strange have a history linked to John’s time with the Darkstars and Adam’s involvement with the COSMIC ODDESSY storyline that is even referenced in this story.
No spoilers but the end has a great reveal and the return of an adversary to this book. Things are going to shake up very soon.
