In the first two issues Murphy set up his unique twist on the tired reality TV concept whilst fleshing out a small cast of interesting and varied characters.

In this issue it would seem that, when it comes to the narrative, Murphy is feeling the pinch of a six issue run. We’re montaged* through Chris’ childhood years at a rate of notts. While this no doubt helps us to get where we’re going, the tidbits we’re fed are interesting enough that I want to see them fully formed. Maybe Murphy was keen to get to the Punk Rock after already spending a lot of time with the Jesus.

One thing that doesn’t seem to be feeling the pressure of time is Murphy’s art. The heavy inking and grungy black and whites are still wonderful.

*apologies for using montage as a verb.
