Wow, an issue of The Punisher where Frank doesn't kill anyone (on panel) & it still doesn't disappoint! Anyone who likes The Punisher, or Garth Ennis war stories will dig this book alot. Garth Ennis has mastered not only writing this character, but also these 6 issue story lines. He paces them perfectly with just the right amount of action & story. When I started reading this issue and saw the full pages of text, like in the 1st issue, I thought "Aw c'mon, this is a comic, not a novel" but these flash-back transcripts from the Valley Forge incident (from the Punisher:Born mini series) from the perspective of a tank commander turned out to be almost the best part of the comic, and were so well written, I almost forgot I was reading fiction & not someone's real experiences. The other part of this issue which stood out for me was the part where we see the aftermath of one of Frank's attacks on a bar, and the way the soldiers couldn't help but admire the way he works. Awesome stuff. I can't think about Garth Ennis leaving this title too much ... or I just might cry.
