Prophet continues to be an outstanding example of what a creative team can do when given the chance. This issue sees both Prophets looking to advance their cause through a new character that exists only as thought and light. While the story being weaved by Graham and Roy can often be confusing and dense, that is part of Prophet’s charm. Each issue introduces so many new and amazing locations and characters, that the confusion never really becomes a problem – you just want to see what happens next. Much in the way that Conan never really has to explain itself, this series is more than welcome introduce new and interesting ideas and let the reader ruminate. As usual, the use of two artists to distinguish the two John Prophets works very well and both Roy and Milonogiannis continue to improve and develop their art and storytelling as this amazing series continues. It’s been great seeing this entire team evolve since the series reintroduction and I’m excited to see where it’s all going.
