If I had POTW, the first half of Power Girl very nearly nailed making it for me. Following Kara's reminisces of the JLI team (in particular showing how well she enjoyed just sharing the laughs with Booster, Beetle, and Max), built up an emotional charge. Then seeing her rallying her JSA friends felt like what could be the dramatic turn around....
...and then to see her even subconsciously fight against what was happening, with the tears running down her cheek, was just heartbreaking....
While the second half of this story certainly had its highlights, it lost a fraction of the momentum that I felt from the first half, and may be the only thing that kept it from my own POTW status.
Art remains top notch, and has some of the most expressive faces since....well since the JLI. Although when I add in the coloring, I'd rank the overall art even higher then the old JLI art.
