This issue does 2 things that good comics should do: Sets the stage for new readers; and gives the current readers something new the chew on. Writer Daryl Gregory shows us why the Apes and Humans are having this particular conflict in the Apes mythos. Flashingback to the moment where our main characters motives are set on their current course. Artist Carlos Magno is really making this world is own, by taking what worked from the films and making a larger world to play in. Even though this is part 2 in the story anyone could pick this up, take the ride and enjoy.
