In a week jam packed with great books a dark horse may have been the very best. Coming into a week where Action Comics, Swamp Thing, Animal Man, Fear Agent, Severed, Walking Dead, and Chew came out I never would have imagined this book to be my pick of the week.
I listed all of the books to drive home exactly how incredible this week was. I have never given out as many 5 star books as i did this week.
I just love seeing The Penguin in all his methodical sociopathic glory. But this book also managed to pull at the heart by showing us the tortured childhood of the penguin. The Penguin is a cold man living in a cold world. i look forward to my next journey into it, ill bring my jacket.
