The story is set in a post apocalyptic world that was devastated, not by nuclear war or meteor collision, but by global warming. Indeed, Mr. Tom Morello conceived a universe where mankind has survived global warming. In any case the world is just as screwed up as any Mad Max Beyond ThunderDome. If you like the story of FallOut, you will love this comic. There are mutants, there’s tech, and there are factions galore.

The comic’s name sake Orchid is a sixteen year old orphan who recently joined a resistance group to fight the tyranny of Tomo Wolf. An evil Pirate turned warlord that seriously intends on enslaving what remains of mankind.

In issue six Orchid and her crew is are attempting to escape Tomo Wolf’s Arena where they are presumed to meet death, when Opal, one of Orchid’s companions reveals an ability that might just come in handy!

Tom Morello does an awesome job fleshing out the characters. The dialogue is organic and flows synonymously with the art style of Scott Hepburn. I felt that Scott’s art seemed a bit rushed, but his panels do a great job of immersing Orchid’s readers in to the post apocalyptic world.
