Okay did someone at Marvel send all the artists away for this weeks books?

I try and not complain about artwork in comics, as myself cannot draw worth anything, so I give it up to anyone that can that can do comic art for a living.

I try and let the story of the book, guide what I think about it and not to let sub par artwork effect my opinions. However this is the second Marvel book I have read this week that the poor artwork has just made reading the book unenjoyable.

I know there have been a lot of critics over the many “Feat Itself” tie in books and stories, and this one I have to agree with them on. I have been reading New Mutants since issue #1 in teh current series and have enjoyed it. I’m not that hard to please with my comic reading.

I was not pleased at all with this effort. Story was not engrossing, now want this “Fear Itself” plot to end in many of the books. To go along with the story, the artwork was just bland to bad.

As much as I love the X-Men and all the related books, if the story/artwork stays at this level, this will be another book, that I will add to my discontinue pile.

I no longer have the luxury of spending my money on books that I just buy to keep a collective run going and hope they get better or back to what they once were.

Marvel, I will spend the money, but you all have to keep me wanting to come back, with the poor art and story lines that is not happening currently. This is a very hard statement for me to make as I have been a major Marvel comic reader, however others are putting out better story lines and better artwork to go along with those books.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 1 - Poor
