So this issue wasn't so much a Dani is bad ass story, like the cover
implied, so much as it is a Dani is worthless, but we'll make Sam feel
like a dick for pointing it out story, which is pretty much how Dani
has been written since Claremont left the book.
I like that Legion is back, and that they gave at least a pseudo explanation for him coming back and why he truly is legion now.
I think the original team is working as well together as they ever did under Claremont. Which my X-Men Forever reviews notwithstanding is actually high praise as I think his 50+ issue run on the original title was some of his best work.
I am very confused on what's going on with Illyana's personal timeline here, as she came into the first issue knowing what was going to happen and appears to be making the same mistakes.
I like the art okay, but I don't really get into Legion stories that aren't drawn by Bill Seinkwicz because it just seems too normal when it's not him.
I liked the start to this series, but this issue felt a little padded and treading water. I don't see how they couldn't have just trimmed up issue 2 and added the ending here to that and made this a 3 issue story instead.
It's good, just not great.
