For the first time since House of M we have a Cyclops sighting and it’s not in an “X-Men” book.  I have not been a fan of the character’s turn towards “defending the mutant race” as if homo superior life is more valuable to him than homo sapien.  Here we finally see Cyclops look beyond the here and now and look at the big picture of what it means to be an X-Men.  He showed more character in this one issue than he has in the last decade.

Also, I will admit the references back to a Liefeld issue of X-Force brought a smile to my face.

  1. there are references to Liefeld issues? Well this comic just made the top of my stack. Excuse me while I read.

  2. "For the first time since House of M we have a Cyclops sighting"

Ouch! Hahaha. I see what you’re saying–and I’m not a big fan of how Cyke has been written over the last few years–but I still thought this issue was really bland and bad.
