I’m was not a Namor fan before. I am now. I loved how hickman peppered namor’s remarks in this illuminati team and the dynamic between it’s members is just wonderful to see even though ever so subtle. Granted that i’m jumping into this story without any context of the previus issues, i still found it difficult to see the gravity of the situation based on the art i saw. Black Swan’s dialogue, i felt, was the main source of impact for the “BLUE” invading army. I found that Doom was more of a catalyst in this story than the impending incursion. I can’t help but think that if it was bendis that wrote the climax it would had a more grander outcome that what we saw. Here i would surely approve of a double page spread.

Despite such the story was solid, made sense and fun to read. Epting’s art remains a joy to see. I’ll be reading the next issue for sure.
