Ah, there you are Brian!
After the slog that was House of CivilSecretInvasion we are reminded why Brian Michael Bendis is worth a million Loebs (did you read Ultimadmen? No? Good for you, less therapy.)
Everything that made New Avengers a must-read back in the day is present. Equal parts snappy dialogue ("Do you have a TV?"), inspiration (CapBucky doesn't so much reform the Avengers as remind them why there ought to BE an Avengers), characterization (Sue's calling the FF to action when the missing baby news is presented did more to humanize her than well...anything), action (Wolverine walking away from a busted up Electro was money), and twists (Luke making his deal....well...read it).
New Avengers is why comics from the big boys still matter. The heroes we love, with high stakes and real emotion. Welcome back, Mr. Bendis.

Good review, except I disagree with calling House of Civil Invasion "slog". Bendis wrote the same snappy dialogue in House and in Invasion and all three events worked to get the Marvel U. where it needs to be.
