In a classic Avengers annual-sort-of way, Bendis and Adams create an interesting story leading into a promising year for the New Avengers. That being said, Neal Adams isn't what he used to be. The finesse of his art on the classic Green Lantern/Green Arrow run is entirely lost here, except for one great panel involving fire and Wolverine's face. The story came through for me though, making it a 4 star book. I only wish I could have gotten the old Neal Adams and given it a 5.
