This book was my first trip back into New Avengers since I dropped it after #1.  I actually had zero expectations coming back into this series, but it was at the comic shop and I picked it up based on the cover alone. 

And truth be told, it wasn't bad.  In fact, I found myself really liking it.  The scene at the harbor where the entire team is assembled on the rooftop is a great one.  The Thing is so full of remorse and Wolverine has zero qualms in telling him that he should feel bad.  Hawkeye's anger through the entire first half gives way to him making a choice at the end of the book that he may or may not live to regret.

The art was nothing spectacular, though the battle scene at the end was rewarding.  The best panel comes when the team is assembled in front of Superia after fighting off her henchmen.  The backdrop of the explosion still in effect makes it work.

All in all, the story brought me back in.  Good stuff here.
