Nemesis: the Impostors is an odd little title.

Normally I would
complain about being dropped into the middle of a story and not given a
whole lot of information about whats going on, but that kinda seems to
be the point of this title, and its apparently the follow up to Final
Crisis: Aftermath: Escape which I havn’t read.

The second issue
of this is a lot more forgiving about shoving weird stuff in your face
and not explaining it but Im reasonably sure it doesnt clear up any
confusion I had about #1. The basic idea is established fair early on
and it gives the book a big feeling of tension: our hero, Nemesis, isn’t
sure if what he’s experiencing is real or if the people around him are
who they claim to be. The sense of confusion the book gives you combined
with the art which has a semi dream-like quality allow this fairly
simple device to really work.

On its own its a nice little read,
but Im kind of annoyed that Im half way through a miniseries and I have
no idea whats going on. Hopefully the next issue is more generous with
plot points.
